Our beloved mother and grandmother, Helen Maxine (Mimi) Hall, died on July 15, 2024, after a battle with cancer. She was 97. Born on June 12, 1927 in Phoenix City, Alabama to John Jackson and Etta Cotton Jackson. She was predeceased by her husband of 46 years, Elbert E (Ned) Hall, daughter Pamela Schriver, and son, Shelly Hall. Helen is survived by her son, Miguel (John Solvibile), daughter, Stacy Slater, five grandchildren, Carmen (late Mikae) Gaetanos, Shannon (Danny) Chesla, Tiffani Emanuel, Adam (Mary) Thomas, and Aaron Thomas, nine great-grandchildren, three great-great-grandchildren, and many nieces and nephews.
Helen loved God and her church family (Everybody's Tabernacle). Singing gospel music made her very happy and filled her heart. She loved the thrill of the hunt at garage and church sales. Helen was never one to pass up a good bargain.
Family was the center of Helen's world. The love for her family and friends was the focus of her life.
Nothing made her happier than spending time visiting and sharing stories, whether you were family, friend or stranger.
Miguel: "Mom brought love, comfort, and caring to all who crossed her path."
