Harlan F. Daniel

DANIEL, Harlan Frederick, 94, of Clearwater, passed away June 5, 2017 at Mease Countryside Hospital. Harlan, also known as “Papu”, was born August 5, 1922 in Bluff Springs, IL., to the late Frederick and Leila Lee Edda (Reichert) Daniel. He married Helga Daniel on December 7, 1996 on MacDill AFB in Tampa, FL. Harlan was a member of Espiritu Santo Catholic Church. Harlan was a Pilot in the United States Air Force and retired in 1962 as a Lieutenant Colonel. He enjoyed Golfing, flying, and traveling. Harlan is survived by his loving wife, Helga; son, Bruce Daniel; daughter Rosemarie Figler; daughter-in-law, Claudia Gill; brother, Marvin (Joan) Daniel; grandchildren, Jason, Gabe, Sarah, Dory, Remy, Sarah Ashley, Melissa, and Christopher; Great Grandchildren, Spencer, Ryder, Finley, Edward, Allison, and Victor; and cousin, Della Marie. He is preceded in death by first wife, Sarah Daniel; and sons, Harlan Daniel Jr. and Brian Daniel. Visitation will be held Saturday June 10, 2017 from 10-11 with a Funeral Mass at 11 in Espiritu Santo Catholic Church 2405 Philippe Parkway Safety Harbor, FL 33695.
