Geraldine Mary White

Geraldine Mary White (Hudzik) mother of Thomas R White Jr and his wife Ellen M White and grandmother to Thomas R White III passed away Sunday of natural causes. Her final moments were spent with family in her home in Florida. Jerry was 98 years old.

Geraldine will be remembered for her infectious smile and her tenacity. She cared for her husband Bob (dec.) for 37 years after his stroke until he died in 1999. A graduate of the Providence Hospital School of Nursing in 1946, she practiced nursing for almost 50 years. In 1949, she married Bob and had a son in 1956. Her dedication and sacrifice for her family has been an inspiration to those who knew her.

Geraldine is survived by son and daughter-in-law Tom and Ellen White, grandson Thomas III, and brother Ronald Hudzik. She was predeceased by parents Walter and Mary Skinner, as well as sisters Bernadette and Constance. She is also survived by nieces: Nancy Miller, Robin Wright, Julie Testori, Susan Miller, and Kathy Lange, nephews: Geoffrey Crosley, David Ouvry, Thomas Ouvry, Jim McKenna, and Paul Hudzik and another 44 people in her extended family.

A private ceremony will be held at Sylvan Abbey on February 24, 2023 for local family members only. A memorial service will be held in the Detroit, MI area during the summer at a date to be announced later.
