Frances A. Jennings met her Savior on Friday, October 2, 2020 having lived almost to her 104th birthday! She loved the Lord and is a peace with Him forever. Having lived a healthy and energetic life, together with Suncoast Hospice and special private caregivers, Maria and Michele, she was able to spend her last days in her apartment as she always hoped at Regency Oaks Senior Living Community in Clearwater, FL, resident for 16 years.
She was the loving daughter of Wenzel (Vencel) and Mary Laudon of St. Louis who immigrated from Czechoslovakia in 1903 and 1904 and sister to 10 siblings (all deceased), two infants buried in Westfalen, Germany. She adored her mother and they had a very special relationship. Her husband, Edward F. Jennings, predeceased her in 2002 after a loving 46 year marriage. She was mother to Diana Pfund (Butch, deceased) of Asbury, New Jersey; grandmother to Kimberley Tom (Christopher) of Kamuela, Hawaii, Janelle Pfund of Asbury, New Jersey and Jason England, who tragically predeceased her in New Jersey. She had one step-daughter, Christine Wormhoudt, Iowa. She was the loving Auntie and Great Auntie to many many in St. Louis, MO and Illinois who adored her. She was a loving friend to many people who admired her at Regency Oaks Senior Living Community (still in Independent Living). She and Marielle Morgan, who predeceased her by six months and was her next-door neighbor at Regency, had a rare and loving friendship.
She was an amazing lady in every sense of the word. Most cherished to the family were the many sweet letters she frequently sent to her large family as a personal communicator and likewise, keeping every card and letter she ever received. She loved to ice skate, was a incredible seamstress, having constructed a wool lined overcoat for her father at only 16 years old and continuing to sew into her late 90s. She was a thriving multi-media artist (mostly oil painting), having won numerous awards. She worked as floral designer, was wonderful cook, an amazing housekeeper and hostess. She even did her own repairs at her home into her eighties on her sprinkling system and her garden at her beautiful home.
Services for Frances will be held at Zeigenhein Funeral Home in St. Louis MO on Saturday, October 17th. Viewing will be from 10am until service time at 11am. Social distancing and mask are required. Burial will follow at St. Paul Churchyard.
SHE WAS LOVED!
“Absent from the body, present with the Lord. Alleluia!”
