Eileen S. Whitham

Eileen S. Whitham died peacefully on August 14, 2022. She was born in Syracuse, NY on April 15, 1937. She was preceded in death by her husband John K. Whitham, whom she married on September 5, 1959; her brothers: Donald, William, Phillip and Patrick; sisters Mary Elizabeth, Catherine Chanley and Lenore Sheridan.

She is survived by her son Mark of New Port Richey, FL, daughter Colleen of Palm Harbor, FL, grandson Ryan of New Port Richey, FL; and brothers: Martin of Syracuse, NY, Rev. Michael of Dedham, MA and Daniel of Syracuse, NY; sisters: Margaret Decerce of Liverpool, NY, Marie Feiman of Parker, CO, Anne Yager of Simpsonville, SC.; as well as numerous nieces and nephews.

Eileen was a devoted, loving wife and mother, but her most treasured status was being a grandmother. Her grandson Ryan was the apple of her eye and she loved to spoil him. Eileen excelled at crossword and word games, and enjoyed reading and traveling throughout the years.

A visitation for Eileen will be held Saturday, August 20, 2022 from 9:00 AM to 11:00 AM at Sylvan Abbey Funeral Home, 2853 Sunset Point Road, Clearwater, FL 33759. A funeral service will occur Saturday, August 20, 2022 from 11:30 AM to 12:30 PM at Espiritu Santo Catholic Church, 2405 Philippe Parkway, Safety Harbor, FL 34695. A committal service will occur Saturday, August 20, 2022 from 1:00 PM to 1:15 PM Sylvan Abbey Memorial Park, 2860 SUNSET POINT RD, CLEARWATER, FL 33759.
