Darrell F. Collins

Darrell F. Collins, 64, of Clearwater passed away on February 2, 2018 at Mease Countryside Hospital. He was preceded in death by his mother, Phyllis A. Collins Cortelloni and his stepmother, Esther P. Collins. Darrell was survived by his father, Darrell R. Collins and siblings, Beth A. DeAngelo and Gordon Collins as well as his wife of 45 years Marsha R. Collins, children, Marsha Lynn Collins and Darrell Brian Collins, grandchildren Ethan B. Collins and Spencer L. Collins. Darrell had a positive outlook on life, was very generous and always considered other people’s needs. He was a loving and caring husband and father. He graduated from Clearwater High School where he met and married his high school sweetheart. They enjoyed traveling throughout the United States and Canada especially a wonderful Alaskan Cruisetour. He loved all sports, especially football and spent time coaching JV football. He worked for GTE/Verizon for 39 years. His kind spirit and thoughtfulness will be remembered by all who knew him. Darrell’s memorial service will be Saturday, February 10, 2018 at 3:00 pm, viewing at 2:00 pm at Sylvan Abbey.
