Charles "Chuck" Wesley McAllister, age 70, of Clearwater, Florida passed away at Suncoast Hospice on Saturday, November 30, 2024.
Chuck was born in Harrisburg, Pennsylvania on June 23, 1954. He was a beloved husband and friend. He is survived by his wife of 35 years, Theresa. He and Theresa loved to travel and never missed an opportunity for a new adventure.
Chuck's life was one of service to his country and his community. After 35 years in the Army, he retired as Chief Warrant Officer 5. He spent his career as a helicopter pilot, maintenance test pilot, and instructor. He retired from the Army in 2010. He transitioned to civilian life after retirement, working for a company that supported the military.
He was also an active member of his community serving as former vice-chair of the association's board. His involvement as a volunteer with Honor Flight of West Central Florida encouraged many veterans to get involved with this great organization.
There will be a gathering of friends and family held for Chuck from 10:00 am - 12:00 pm on Tuesday, January 14, 2025 with a memorial service to start at 12:00 pm.
