Carl Phillip Koch

Koch, Carl Phillip 96, of Clearwater, FL , entered peacefully into eternal rest on February 17, 2015. Carl is survived by his wife of 72 years, Emeline; son, Jeffrey (Maureen); Daughter, Caroline Yale (James); sister, Jean Leidig (Richard); Grandchildren, Elizabeth Kitzman (Harvey), John Koch (Andrea Schaaff), and Melissa Yale, and great grandchildren Allison, Katherine and Samantha Koch. He was a devoted parent, grandparent, great-grandfather, brother and uncle and enjoyed sharing family stories at the dinner table. He was the family patriarch and could always be relied upon for wisdom, wit and guidance. Carl was born in Chicago, IL in 1918, where he met and married his sweetheart, Emeline, in 1942. He worked for 43 years, for General Electric in Chicago, Milwaukee, WI and Largo, FL, and retired as manager of security. He was known for his honesty, integrity, attention to detail and loyalty. A memorial service is scheduled at St. Matthias Lutheran Church, 2571 Sunset Point Road in Clearwater on Saturday, March 7th at 11:00 A.M. In lieu of flowers, donations may be sent to the St. Matthias Memorial Fund at the above address. The family would like to thank all those who have supported them throughout this time.
