Bobbe Lou Allen

Bobbe Lou (Koons) Allen was born on October 31,1932 in Ft. Wayne, Indiana to Ruth and Russell Koons. She was the youngest of her siblings, Enid June and Russell Jack. The family moved to Palm Harbor in 1949 where Bobbe finished her education at Tarpon Springs High School.

Bobbe met and married Richard (Dick) B. Allen on February 2, 1952. They honeymooned in Cuba and after Dick completed his military service they settled in Ozona for a few years before moving to Honeymoon Ridge in Palm Harbor where she lived out her life. Dick and Bobbe had two children, Douglas Mark and Judith Ann.

Bobbe worked for the Pinellas County School system for many years; she served the children of both San Jose Elementary and Ozona Elementary with the majority of her years spent at Ozona.

Bobbe loved being with family, working in her yard, reading, jigsaw puzzles, and taking her daily walks around Palm Harbor keeping tabs on the dogs and cats along the way. She volunteered at the Palm Harbor Library for over 20 years.

Bobbe leaves behind her son, Douglas Allen and his wife Lisa; her granddaughter, Suzanne Andropoulos and her husband Niko; her grandson Daniel Allen; her great grandchildren, Alexis and Nicholas Andropoulos; her daughter Judith Allen and her partner Tara Edwards and her furry grandbabies.

Mom, we will miss that twinkle in your eyes, but your spirit will live on in the lives you have touched.
