Betty G. Munro

It is with a heavy heart we announce the loss of our beloved Betty Groll Munro at the age of 84, of Village on the Green in Clearwater, Florida. She passed away on 9/7/23. She was born in Bastrop, LA. She grew up in Mooringsport, LA and graduated from North Caddo High School. She attended Sylvan Abbey Church and participated in many charitable organizations. She was active in her community and loved her neighbors.

To know Betty was to love her. She lit up a room with her smile and southern charm. Betty loved her Savior, Jesus, and was a blessing to all who knew her. She was a loving and caring daughter, sister, spouse, mother, grandmother, great grandmother and friend to so many.

She was preceded in death by her parents Henry and Ona Groll, her brothers Dan Corley, James Corley and Hank Groll, stepchildren Donald Munro and Heather Thompson.

She is survived by, her husband John Munro, her siblings Bill Corley and wife Tina, and Mary Hibbard and husband Michael, and children Renee Gensheimer, Guy Rochelle and wife Jennifer, Philip Kiser and wife Kristie as well as her step son, Curtis Setso and his wife Anna. Additionally, she had eleven grandchildren to include Paris Gensheimer, David Gensheimer, Gabriel Rochelle, Zachary Kiser, Kyra Kiser, Koda Kiser, Stacia Santiago, Josh Thompson, Harry Thompson, Amelia Setso and Theresa Setso. Lastly, two great grandchildren, Aria Homeyer and Edwardo "Lalo" Santiago. Besides her immediate family, Betty had a large extended family and many dear friends.

A memorial service for Betty will be held Saturday, September 16, 2023 from 10:00 AM to 12:00 PM at Sylvan Abbey Memorial Park and Funeral Home, 2853 SUNSET POINT RD, CLEARWATER, FL 33759.
