Barbara Ellis Mild

Barbara Ellis Mild, passed away on March 13, 2025, in Palm Harbor, Florida where she had resided since 1991. Born September 5, 1931, in Memphis, Tennessee. Barbara was a graduate of the University of Tennessee at Knoxville with a Bachelor of Arts degree. She also earned a Master of Science degree in Social Work (MSSW) from the University of Tennessee School of Social Work. She was a member of Sigma Kappa Sorority. Barbara was employed by Allegheny County (Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania) Children and Youth Services in Supervisory and Administrative positions. She was a member of Bethel Lutheran Church, Clearwater, Florida. She is survived by husband, of 67 years, Frederic Mild, and sons F. William Mild, of Fenwick Island, Delaware, and Scott Mild, of Palm Harbor, Florida. A service will be held at 12pm on Thursday, March 20, 2025, at Bethel Lutheran Church, 3166 McMullen Booth Road Clearwater, Florida 33761. Interment will follow at Sylvan Abbey Memorial Park 2860 Sunset Point Road, Clearwater, Florida 33759. Memorials may be made to Bethel Lutheran Church, or a charity of one’s choice.
