McMAHON, Barbara A., 73, of Palm Harbor, FL and Middletown, NY passed away peacefully on January 31, 2015. She was predeceased by her parents, John and Marie Boyle. Born in Hazleton, Pa. she moved to Brooklyn, NY where she met her devoted husband Joseph and married on November 11,1961. In addition to her loving husband she is survived by her 3 children, Joseph and his wife Ellen of Walpole MA, James and his wife Pam of Middletown, NY, Kathleen of Orlando FL. and four grandchildren, Carey, Brendan, Conor and Liam. She is also survived by her brothers Jack Boyle and wife Nancy of Edison, NJ, Joseph Boyle and wife Roxan of Granbury, TX, sister Kelly Boyle of New York, NY, and many nieces and nephews. Barbara retired from PFW Hercules in Middletown. An active participant in her community, Barbara served as a secretary of her homeowners association in Palm Harbor. She was a member of the Palm Harbor Historical Society and former docent at the Palm Harbor Museum. She was also a former lector at Our Lady of Mt. Carmel Church in Middletown. She enjoyed cooking, traveling, rooting for her favorite sports teams, especially the Tampa Bay Bucs and Rays. A warm and generous person, Barbara delighted in being with family and friends. Her Christmas and St Patrick Day parties were anticipated and enjoyed by all who attended. A funeral mass will be held 9:30 am Sat. Feb. 21, 2015 at St. Luke the Evangelist Catholic Church in Palm Harbor. Inurnment will follow at Sylvan Abbey Memorial Park in Clearwater.
