Molly was an avid New England sports fan, especially loving the New England Patriots. She loved having her family over, cooking out and watching the Pats.
For 38 years, Molly and her husband Jim spent their summers at Ossipee Lake Camping Area in New Hampshire. At “camp”, she would enjoy having her family around and gained many friends that have since become known as her camp family. Coffee at “the round table”, boat rides on the lake, grilling out, cocktail hour, singing on the deck, her infamous line of “just one more”, and the late-night talks around the campfire made for many wonderful memories to treasure for a lifetime.
Molly (Mom, Nana, Aunt Molly, Nana Molly) was loved by so many people and she genuinely loved them back. There was nothing more important to her than her family. She had an undeniable zest for life and lived it to the fullest. She loved to laugh, always had a positive attitude, never complained, was honest (to a fault sometimes), genuine, caring and loving. She was “the rock” of the Tuson clan and will be sadly missed and forever cherished by all those that knew her.
She is survived by her husband and the love of her life, James Tuson with whom they would have celebrated 62 years of marriage on June 10, 2018; daughter Carol Martin and her husband, John of Elizabethton, TN; son James Tuson, of Manchester, NH; son Richard Tuson and his wife, Cathy of Seminole, FL; son Stephen Tuson and his wife, Colleen of Falmouth, MA; son Gary Tuson and his wife, Sandie Chapman of Litchfield, NH; daughter Joelyn Tuson and her wife, Shelley Story Tuson of Tokyo, Japan. Ten grandchildren, Richard Tuson (Amanda) of Haverhill, MA, Allison Bricker (Aaron) of Clearwater, FL, James Tuson of Lowell, MA, Nicole Kopacz (Christopher) of Tyngsboro, MA, Stephen Tuson (Misty) of Falmouth, MA, Kaley Byrd and her fiancée Kam Campbell of Clearwater, FL, Ashley Tuson of Falmouth, MA, Matthew Sommer (Sarah) of Seminole, FL, Brandi Sommer of Seminole, FL and Abigail Tuson of Seminole, FL. She is also survived by eight great grandchildren and just last week found out she would be having a great granddaughter who will be named Molly after her Nana. She is also survived by her sister, Helen Barilone of Chambersburg, PA; brother, Roger Spurrell of Nashua, NH; sister, Ann Marie Rickert of Madison, CT; and sister-in-law, Mary Spurrell of Guilford, CT. She is preceded in death by her sister, Mary Veno, sister, Dorothy Beauregard and brother, Charles Spurrell. She is also survived by many nieces, nephews, cousins and countless friends that she considered family.
There will be a celebration of life held at 11:00 AM on Friday, May 25, 2018 at St. Matthew’s Church in Largo, FL.
We would like to give a big thank you to all her caregivers for the past three years at the Florida Cancer Specialists and most recently Suncoast Hospice of Largo.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Susan G. Komen Foundation or to Suncoast Hospice of Largo.
