Spletzer, Alfred (Sonny) 76, passed away suddenly on December 23, 2015 in Tampa, FL. Originally from Chicago, IL, Al is survived by his wife of 52 years, Paula Lee; son, John (Elita) of Tampa; daughter, Dawn (Patrick) Forrest; granddaughters, Haley Spletzer and Shelby Spletzer and grandsons, Nolan Forrest and Owen Forrest. Al served in the Navy aboard the U.S.S. Monrovia from 1956-59, and retired from McNichol’s Company as a specialty welder. He held his 4th degree in the Knights of Columbus, and was a member of Incarnation Catholic Church. Al was devoted to his family and his country, and was grateful for the many friendships he shared. A Memorial Service will be held 11:30 am Wednesday, Dec. 30, 2015 at Sylvan Abbey Memorial Park (Peacefield Mausoleum Chapel).
