30, of Clearwater, FL was tragically murdered, by a person from Toms River, NJ, on Sunday, January 30, 2022. Born March 14, 1991 in Washington, DC Abby bravely relocated to Florida in 2016 from Bethesda, Maryland.
Abby proudly served the District III community of Hillsborough County for four years as a Hillsborough County Sheriff’s Deputy. While Abby’s four year service as a Deputy was mostly concentrated on patrol, she also did special assignments in undercover work and at the Boys and Girls Club where she established many deep connections with the Boys and Girls Club children and staff even though her service there was brief. Additionally, Abby worked many off-duty shifts at Tampa Bay Downs where, once again, her infectious personality and enthusiasm made her many deep and abiding friendships. Abby was just recently approved by her command staff to begin an assignment in the HCSO Street Crimes unit. This transition likely would have led her to her “dream job” as a Detective in the Special Victims Section of the Criminal Investigations Division as a specialist in crimes against children. Abby was an avid runner and cherished her frequent visits to the Dunedin Causeway with her mother. She was also a great baker and enjoyed sharing her sweet treats with her family.
She is survived by her parents, Bruce and Sarah; brothers, Daniel and Ben, and sister-in-law Gabby; nephews, James and Henry her dog, Louey. In addition, she will be missed by her grandmother and many Aunts, Uncles, cousins and countless friends who loved her dearly.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in her name to the Mary Lee’s House, 2806 N. Armenia Ave., Tampa, 33607 (https://maryleeshouse.org/), Max and Me Pet Rescue, 12191 W.
