She was born on March 11, 1931, in Clearfield, Vera was the daughter of Charles Delmont and Inez Louise (Taylor) Kyler.
Vera graduated from Clearfield Area High School.
She attended the Hyde Wesleyan Church.
Vera wed Sylvester C. Henry on June 22,1950. Together they raised their six children. Vera enjoyed being a homemaker. She and her husband, Sylvester were known for making quilts together. When she wasn’t making quilts, Vera was visiting the area public library, as she was a voracious reader. She also was a self-taught artist and used her talent painting portraits and scenery. Vera enjoyed going to Carolina Beach with her family.
Vera is survived by her five children, Cindy Vezza, Clearfield, Brenda Juarez (Tom), Los Olivos, CA, Susan Knisley (Hal), Chambersburg, PA, Lorri Glass (Jeff), York Haven, PA, Jack Henry (Michelle), Clearfield; eight grandchildren, Matt Vezza, Leigh Short, Maggie Lingle, Erin Cho, Nathan Knisley, Eowyn Durham, Evan Glass, Kyler Henry; and nine great-grandchildren, Jeremiah Vezza, Ryder, Carly, Juel, and Maren Short, Talan Lingle, Gracyn, Ryder, and Izabella Durham.
She is also survived by one brother, Charles Delmont Kyler, II Mesa, Arizona, one niece and three nephews.
Vera is preceded in death by her parents, husband Sylvester who died on February 20, 1999, a son, Chuck Henry, son-in-law, Alex Vezza, grandson, Sean Knisley, granddaughter, Elizabeth Juarez and infant brother, Roland Kyler.
Graveside services will be held at a future date.
