He was born January 1, 1950, in Clearfield, the son of Carl and Esther (Triponey) Shubert.
Mr. Shubert was employed by Penn State University as an electrician.
He was a veteran of the United States Marines having served in the Vietnam Era.
Mr. Shubert was a member of the International Brotherhood of Electrical Workers.
He is survived by three children; Meladie L. Bailey, Merilee L. Bailey and Micah T. Bailey, his former spouse, Mary A. Bailey, all of Clearfield and two brothers; Chris Triponey and his wife Genny, of Pittsburgh and Tim Bailey, of Kiyowa City, AZ.
Mr. Shubert was preceded in death by his parents, his adopted parents; John and Hilda Bailey and a sister, Karen Bailey.
A graveside service will be held at Crown Crest Memorial Park, Hyde on Thursday, January 24, 2013 at 12:00 P.M. with Rev. Robert J. Way officiating. Military honors will be accorded by the Clearfield American Legion Post #6 and the VFW Post #1785 Honor Guard.
