Mrs. Butler was born March 1, 1917 in Clearfield, the daughter of Charles and Sophie (Mecca) Fulesday.
She was a homemaker.
Mrs. Butler was a member of the St. John Lutheran Church of Clearfield.
She had been a volunteer since 1959 for the Red Cross, had volunteered in the chaplaincy program at Clearfield Hospital and had been involved in various crafts, among those, china painting and ceramics.
Mrs. Butler is survived by two sons; David B. Butler and his wife Judy and Thomas W. Butler and his wife Patti, all of Clearfield, four grandchildren; Brian Butler of Clearfield, Matthew Butler and his wife Jaime of Houston, TX., Thomas Butler and his wife Cynthia of Livermore, CA., and Kasi Ann Burns and her husband Ben of West Decatur, five great grandchildren; Thomas, Anna, Brennan and Liam Butler and Benjamin Burns, and two brothers; Charles A. Fulesday of Alexandria, VA., and Elmer D. Fulesday of Clearfield.
She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, Blaine W. Butler whom she married March 29, 1939 at St. John Lutheran Church in Clearfield and who passed away January 23, 2005, two brothers; Edward and Joseph Fulesday and a sister, Marian Sloppie.
Funeral services will be held at 11:00 A.M. on Friday, June 14, 2013 at the Bennett and Houser Funeral Home, Inc., of Clearfield with Rev. Robert J. Way officiating. Interment will be at Crown Crest Memorial Park.
Friends will be received at the funeral home on Thursday, June 13, 2013 from 6 to 8 P.M. and on Friday from 10:00 A.M. until the hour of services.
