Sharon L. Lope

She was full of love and resilience, dedicating her life to her family. She spent her days ensuring that her children, Jeffrey Graham, Duane Graham (who passed April 22, 2011), Lisa Oswalt (Michael) and Crystal Lope, had every need met and an abundance of love.

She spent her later years raising her grandson, Gavin Knapp, whom she was so proud of. Her grandchildren were her world, and she shared special bonds with Gavin and his brother Terrell Carey.

The most important role in her life was that of a dedicated wife to Richard, whom she wed December 5, 1969. Their love was matched by none, and she missed him beyond measure since his passing on June 22, 2022. The two built a beautiful family that they were proud of and spoke of to anyone who would listen. We are so happy that they are together again, along with our brother Dewey, dancing to the stroll and jitterbug together in the beauty of heaven. Till we see each other again Mama, rest in eternal peace. We love you.

In honoring our mom’s wishes, there will be no public visitation.
