Robert L. Gormont

He was born on January 30, 1943 in Clearfield, the son of Russell and Hazel (Luzier) Gormont.

Mr. Gormont had worked as a heavy equipment operator and then as a self employed contractor.

He was a member of St. Francis Roman Catholic Church., Clearfield.

Mr. Gormont is survived by two sons and a daughter; Terry A. Gormont and his wife, Lisa, Timothy L. Gormont and his wife, Cecelia and Michelle N. Canter and her husband, Chuck, a daughter-in-law, Ricki Gormont all of Clearfield, ten grandchildren; Emily Gormont, Benjamin Gormont, Jonathan Gormont, Cassandra Miller, Timothy Gormont, Jr., Kaitlin Canter, Julie Canter, Tyler Canter, Erin Gormont and Robert Gormont and one great-grandson, Carter Gormont.

He was the last member of his generation having been preceded in death by his parents, his wife, Linda D. (McClincy) Gormont whom he married on March 3, 1962 and who passed away on October 20, 2013, a son, Robert L. Gormont Jr, a granddaughter Abigail Gormont and a brother, Johnny Gormont.

Funeral Services will be held at the Bennett and Houser Funeral Home, Inc. on Friday, August 14, 2015 at 11 AM with Rev. Mark Mastrian officiating. Interment will be in the Calvary Cemetery.

Friends will be received at the funeral home on Thursday, August 13, 2015 from 2-4PM and 6-8PM and on Friday from 10:00AM until the hour of the services.
