Robert L. Fehl

Born March 6, 1929 in Clearfield, PA, he was the son of George D. and Helen (Kline) Fehl.

Mr. Fehl retired from Kurtz Brothers in Clearfield, PA after serving 47 years.

He served in the United States Navy during the World War II era.

Mr. Fehl was a member of the Clearfield Christian and Missionary Alliance Church, where he had served as a board member and an elder of the church.

He served as a volunteer/escort at the Clearfield Hospital for seven years and also served as a volunteer at the Grice Museum.

Mr.Fehl was a member of the Sparkling Spring Hunting and Fishing Camp. He was an avid outdoors man, with a love for fishing and hunting.

Mr. Fehl is survived by his wife, Ann C. (Carrier) Fehl, whom he married on November 25, 1967 in the Punxsytawney Christian and Missionary Alliance Church. He is also survived by a daughter, Beth A. Bergstrom and her husband Chris of Buffalo, NY; two grandchildren: Katie and Ryan Bergstrom; a brother and a sister: Fred Fehl and his wife Betty of Pompano Beach, FL and Lois Rich and her husband Alan of North Attleboro, MA.

He is preceded in death by his parents; an infant brother John and a sister, Barbara Jordan.

Funeral services will be held on Thursday, May 27, 2010 at 11:00 AM at the Clearfield Christian and Missionary Alliance Church with Rev. Hiram B. Westover officiating. Interment will follow in the Hillcrest Cemetery in Clearfield, PA.

Friends will be received at the Bennett and Houser Funeral Home, Inc., 312 E. Locust Street, Clearfield, PA on Wednesday, May 26, 2010 from 2:00-4:00 PM and 6:00-9:00 PM and on Thursday at the church from 10:00 AM until the hour of services.

The family suggests that memorial contributions be made to the Missionary Fund of the Clearfield Christian and Missionary Alliance Church, 45 Alliance Road, Clearfield, PA 16830.
