She was born November 8, 1961, in Clearfield, the daughter of Walter “Nick” and Elizabeth “Betty” (Kavelak) Prave.
Paula was a 1979 graduate of Surrattsville High School, located in Clinton, Maryland. Following graduation she worked at Andrews Air Force Base.
She had also been employed at Heimbold Stewart Inc. and most recently was a PCO for the Pennsylvania State Police who she considered her second family.
Paula was a member of St. Timothy’s Roman Catholic Church of Curwensville. She was also a social member of the Curwensville American Legion Post No. 505.
She was an avid gardener and reader.
Paula is survived by her father, Walter “Nick” Prave formerly of Lumber City, her two children; Cara M. Artiola of Osceola Mills and Robert Haley of Curwensville, two grandchildren; Carter Artiola and Calista Walls, seven siblings; Rusty Wriglesworth (Janet) of Grampian, Dana McCahan (Dennis) of Woodland, Joann Caldwell (Greg) of Treasure Lake, Lisa Prave and her significant other, Steve Bloom of Lumber City, Nick T. Prave (Janet) of Brockway, Marla Linsenbigler (Corey) of Curwensville and Marc Prave (Valerie) of Curwensville, a great aunt, Helen Holland of Curwensville and numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.
She was preceded in death by her mother, her husband, John P. Haley whom she married August 29, 1987 and her Godfather, James A. Naddeo.
A Celebration of Life Service will be held at the Bennett and Houser Funeral Home Inc., of Clearfield on Saturday, March 12, 2022 at 3:00 PM. Friends will be received at the funeral home from 1:00 PM until the hour of the service.
Following the service, a social gathering will be held at the Curwensville American Legion Post No. 505.
The family suggests that memorial contributions be made to the charity of the donor’s choice.
