Villa in Clearfield, PA.
He was the son of the late Virginia (Green) Smith and stepson of the late Frank O. Smith of Clearfield.
Oscar is also preceded in death by his wife Georgia May (Maney) Smith and his son
Harold Lee Smith.
He is survived by two daughters, Cathy J. Wylie of Louisville, KY, and Barbara Wickemeyer of West Chester, Ohio, 6 grandchildren, 6 great grandchildren, and one great-great grandson, and his brother, Ward Smith.
Oscar was a lifelong resident of Clearfield County. He was a hardworking man, who began working second shift at a sawmill at the age of 12. Oscar was a carpenter, plumber, electrician, and master mechanic. He helped build several homes on Montgomery Run Road, including his own. His past employers include Harbison Walker, Fullington Auto Bus, and Master Chrysler Plymouth, all of Clearfield. He was in the U.S. Army and a veteran of the Korean War. Oscar was a member of the Jehovah’s Witnesses and was baptized in the Susquehanna River in 1961. His faith was his life. At his request there will not be a public memorial service.
