Nancy J Heitsenrether

Nancy was born on December 5, 1936 in Clearfield, PA to John and Martha Westcott. She graduated from Clearfield Area High School in 1954. In 1957, Nancy graduated from the The Clearfield Hospital School of Nursing. She began working as a Registered Nurse at the Clearfield Hospital Maternity Ward where she retired after 40 years of dedicated service. She was a member of the Clearfield Hospital Nurses Alumni.

On June 8, 1963, Nancy married Daryl E. Heitsenrether at the Curwensville Methodist Church, Curwensville, PA. Together they were married for 60 years.

Nancy is survived by her husband and three children, Brian (Donna) Heitsenrether of Clearfield, PA, Darylyn (Tim) Wallace of Clearfield, PA, and Steven (Heidi) Heitsenrether of Woodland, PA, as well as daughter-in-law, Amy Heitsenrether of Clearfield, PA; six grandchildren, Breana (Shawn) Burgmeier of Milan, IL, Alan “Herk” (Missy) Wallace of Port Matilda, PA, Megan (Joe) Opaliski of Clearfield, PA, Caitlin Heitsenrether and fiancé, Jessica McDanel of Clearfield, PA, Ian Heitsenrether of Clearfield, PA, Cole Heitsenrether of Woodland, PA; and five great-grandchildren, Alexander, Joey, Bentley, Greenley, and Quinn.

She is also survived by one sister, Dorothy “Dot” Ivanic of Euclid, OH and numerous nieces and nephews.

Nancy was preceded in death by her parents, her son, Eric John Heitsenrether, two brothers, John Westcott, and William “Bill” Westcott; and two sisters, Catherine “Cathy” Paolino and Martha “Marty” Gaylor.

Nancy was a member of the Christian Missionary Alliance Church, Clearfield, PA. She loved music and enjoyed singing old hymns. Nancy also loved visiting with her family, especially her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She had the best sense of humor and passed that onto her children and grandchildren. Nancy also liked crafting, crocheting, embroidery, and cross-stitch.

A heartfelt thank you to the nurses and staff of Mt. Laurel Nursing & Rehabilitation Center, Clearfield, PA for their care and compassion in taking care of our beloved wife, mother, and grandmother.

Visitation will be held on Friday, July 14 from 10 a.m. until the time of service at 12 noon in the Christian Missionary Alliance Church, Clearfield. Pastor Hiram Westover will officiate the ceremony. Interment will be in the Bradford Cemetery, Woodland, PA.
