He was an avid racing fan and car owner/driver for many years starting with Drag racing and eventually dirt circle track as the owner of the Mobil 1 semi-late model that his son eventually took over as he became older. He still never missed a Saturday night at the track sitting in his chair with a pack of Marlboros and a diet Pepsi. He also loved hunting, fishing, and was a league bowler and enjoyed couple bowling with his wife, Carol.
Melvin is survived by his wife, two children, Jeff Mease and Jennifer Mease, both of Clearfield, and many nieces and nephews.

In honor of Melvin’s wishes, there will be no public visitation. A celebration of life will be held at the convenience of the family.
