Born on December 30, 1943 in Clearfield, she was the daughter of Robert and Dorothy Aubrey.
Marie graduated from St. Francis School in 1956 and was a parishioner of St. Francis of Assisi Roman Catholic Church, Clearfield.
Marie was a homemaker who made sure every day was special, especially birthdays and Christmas. She enjoyed having all the animals on the family farm, especially the new calves in the spring, the horses, and the show lambs. She was always willing to help, and liked going to the county fair to watch her sons show their animals. Marie was a big part of the Clearfield 4-H FFA Jr. Livestock Sale as a charter member and also served as treasurer for a number of years.
Marie received special recognition for having three sons completing four years of the FFA program. Each of her sons received the Keystone Farmer Degree, the highest award an FFA member can receive. During those years, she supported her boys wholeheartedly. Her support resulted in multiple Grand and Reserve Champion animals!
Marie had a green thumb and loved her flowers and hanging baskets. She loved to watch the hummingbirds and made sure they were well fed while here for the summer.
For the most part of her life, Marie had dogs and even raised beagles to sell as hunting dogs.
Marie was a devoted, special, and loving mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother who will be greatly missed and not forgotten.
She is survived by her two sons, Seth Owens, of Frenchville and Dennis Owens of Clearfield; six grandchildren, Curtis Owens of Clearfield, Chelsey Barrett and her husband, Josh of Clearfield, Hunter Owens and his wife, Lucy of Sanborn, Hayley Owens and her fiancé, Aaron Crain, of Orrstown, PA, Justin Owens of Shiloh, and Milton Owens of Clearfield; four great-grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews.
Marie was preceded in death by her a son, Timothy in 2021.
All services will be private to honor Marie’s wishes.
