Louise A. Myers

She was born on April 8, 1942 in Clearfield the daughter of the late Paul and Thelma (Tibbens) Learish. On June 15, 1963 she married C. Glenn Myers, who passed away on May 29, 2014.

Louise was a 1960 graduate of Clearfield Area High School. She went on to work for County Nation Bank, Cowdricks Drug Store, and C. Classic Dodge as a bookkeeper.

She was a member of First Baptist Church. She was a member of the Clearfield Little League Women’s Auxiliary.

Louise enjoyed quilting, playing cards, line dancing, and watching sports. She was a devoted Penn State, Pittsburgh Steelers, Army Football and Duke Basketball fan.

She is survived by her two sons: Keith and his wife Kathy Myers of Morgantown, WV and Stephen and his wife Kim Myers of Findlay, OH; five grandchildren: Sarah Myers and her fiancé Michael Lesko, Emily and Megan Myers, Rachel and Jacob Myers.

She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, and six siblings: Jack Learish, Paul “Tubby” Learish, Dean Learish, Dorothy Mills, Irene Armstrong and Debra Shaffer. Louise was the last member of her generation.

A funeral service will be held at 1:00pm on Wednesday, March 16, 2016 at the Bennett and Houser Funeral Home, Inc. with Rev. Robert Achey officiating. Burial will be in Bradford Cemetery.

Friends will be received from 5:00-8:00pm on Tuesday, March 15 at the Bennett and Houser Funeral Home, Inc. They also will be received on Wednesday from noon until the hour of service at the funeral home.
