Kenneth "Ken" E. Plummer

He was born on October 16, 1943 in Clearfield, PA; a son of the late Frederick B. Plummer and M. Virginia Plummer.

Mr. Plummer served as First Lieutenant in the US Army graduating from Armor Office Candidate School with service at Fort Knox, KY and Vietnam in the 2/11 Armored Cavalry Regiment and 3/4 Infantry Division.

He graduated from Indiana Institute of Technology with a Bachelor of Science in Chemical Engineering. During his career he worked for UT-Battelle Oak Ridge National Laboratory in Oak Ridge TN as a chemical engineer.

Mr. Plummer was a former member of the West Side United Methodist Church in Clearfield, PA. He was an avid reader and a NASCAR fan.

Survivors include his loving wife, Carol A. (Rideout) Plummer of Oak Ridge, TN whom he married on July 2, 1966 in DuBois, PA; one son, Gregory B. Plummer and his wife Jeannette of McCleary, WA; one daughter, Jennifer Conway Oak Ridge, TN; four grandchildren: Hannah Koethler and her husband Jordan, Sarah Weaver and her husband Shawn, Leah Plummer, and Jeremy Plummer; two siblings, Frederick B. Plummer, Jr. and his wife Sigred of Houston, TX and twin sister, Kathy E. Wain of Clearfield, PA; and numerous nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents and his son-in-law, Sean Conway.

Funeral services will be private and at the convenience of the family. Burial will be in Crown Crest Memorial Park and full military honors will be accorded by the Clearfield Area Honor Guard.
