Mrs. Marsh was born January 18, 1957 in Clearfield, the daughter of Daniel and Pearl (Liddle) Peoples.
Jeanne was a 1974 graduate of Clearfield Area High School and a 1978 graduate of Bloomsburg University, graduating with a Bachelor of Science degree in Elementary and Early Childhood Education. She received an Academic Achievement Award for academic excellence.
She started her career as a substitute teacher at West Branch Elementary School. She later worked for the United States Department of Agriculture within the Federal Government for over 35 years, recently retiring January 3, 2016. Jeanne was a program technician assisting local farmers with available federal programs, who took the time to personally know every farmer she worked with.
Mrs. Marsh was a lifelong member of Trinity United Methodist Church of Clearfield where she was a Sunday School Teacher.
Jeanne was a devoted wife and mother who loved spending quality time with her family. She made sure to take time every year to plan a big family vacation. She also enjoyed gardening, caring for the family orchard and beautifying flower beds. She made time to take a swim in the backyard pool and cook family dinner every night. Jeanne was an avid runner who ran multiple times a week on her treadmill or the local trail. She participated in races and won medals throughout the years. She loved all animals, especially the family cats and dogs she cared for over the years.
She is survived by her husband, Stanley A. Marsh whom she married October 27, 1979 at Trinity United Methodist Church, her two daughters; Jennifer (Marsh) Miller and her husband Richard of Bellefonte and Jaclyn (March) Rawlings and her husband Alan of Forty Fort and a brother, James Shugerts of Clearfield.
She was preceded in death by her parents.
A Celebration of Life Service will be held at 11:00 AM on Thursday, June 15, 2017 at the Bennett and Houser Funeral Home, Inc. of Clearfield with Dr. C. Frederick Ralston officiating.
Friends will be received at the funeral home on Wednesday, June 14, 2017 from 6 to 9:00 PM and on Thursday from 10:00 AM until the hour of services.
The family suggests that memorial contributions be made to the SPCA of Clearfield County, 275 21st St., Clearfield, PA 16830 or the Trinity United Methodist Church, 121 S. 2nd St., Clearfield, PA 16830.
