Gregory W. Rowles

Born March 4, 1956 in Clearfield, the son of William J. and V. Eleanor (Kephart) Rowles.

He was a graduate of Clearfield Area High School, Class of 1974, DuBois Business College and Thiel College, with a BA in Accounting.

Mr. Rowles was an Accountant with Soult Wholesale Company, retiring in 2021.

He was a member of the former Mt. Hope United Methodist Church and currently the Kerr Addition United Methodist Church having served in various compacities at both churches. Greg held a strong faith, had a kind soul and helped many with his gift of prayer.

Greg was an avid sports fan, following the Pirates, Steelers and Penn State. He loved the outdoors and enjoyed fishing trips and hunting with his family. He was also a member of the Sandy Summit Lodge and the National Association of Accountants.

Greg is survived by his wife of 41 years, Carol Ann (Ferguson) Rowles whom he married August 20, 1983, sisters; Sandra K. Brown and her husband Ed of Clearfield and Cathy Larson and her husband Roger of Lance and numerous nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents and a niece Bridget.

Funeral Services will be held at the Bennett and Houser Funeral Home, Inc. of Clearfield on Saturday, December 28, 2024 at 11:00 AM with Pastor Rich Wallace officiating. Interment will be in Historic Crown Crest Cemetery.

Friends will be received at the funeral home on Friday, December 27, 2024 from 6:00 to 8:00 PM and on Saturday from 10:00 AM until the hour of services.

In lieu of flowers the family suggests memorial contributions be made to the Kerr Addition United Methodist Church, 1010 Dorey Street, Clearfield, PA 16830 or a charity of the donor’s choice.
