She was born August 21, 1936 in Bigler, the daughter of Merle and Vada (Thomas) Greene.
Erma was a graduate of Clearfield High School.
She had worked as a bookkeeper for Bradford Coal Company and Lansberry Trucking.
Erma was a member of the Glad Tidings Assembly of God Church of Clearfield where she was active in the Missionette program. Erma loved to sing and participated in church choirs and many holiday cantatas. She had also been a volunteer for Hospice.
Erma is survived by her four children; Lora H. Zill of Conneaut Lake, Alene M. Homan and her husband Mick Graham of Egypt, Paul L. Homan and his wife Lisa A. of Clearfield and Evan H. Homan and his wife Pamela S. of Boyds, MD, seven grandchildren; Daniel Zill and his wife Megan Boyd, Holly Zill, Joel Watson, Abbey Homan, Rachel Homan, Karina Homan and Jonathan Homan, a great granddaughter, Olivia Zill, a sister, Joline Bailey of Clearfield, a brother, Merle Greene and his wife Pamela of Sabula and many nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, Robert P. “Bob” Homan who passed away August 17, 2003 and whom she married June 9, 1956, a son, Joel R. Homan and three sisters; Jane Heberling, Jean Forcey and Joann Hubler.
A Celebration of Life Service will be held at the Glad Tidings Assembly of God Church, Clearfield on Monday, June 5, 2023 at 6:00 PM with Pastor Sam Smeal and Pastor Scott Schultz co-officiating. Interment will be in Bigler Cemetery.
Family and friends will be received at the church on Monday from 4:00 PM until the hour of services.
The family suggests that memorial contributions be made to the Clearfield County Area Agency on Aging, 600 Cooper Road, Curwensville, PA 16833.
