Born May 5, 1940, she was raised in New Enterprise, Morrisons Cove, Bedford County, Pennsylvania, daughter of Clarence and Pauline Maude (Fike) Snoeberger.
Dorothy was a class of 1958 graduate of Northern Bedford High School, where she participated in band (bass clarinet), chorus (as both a singer and pianist) and several clubs, including Yearbook, FHA (Future Homemakers of America), the Press Club and the school newspaper (The Northern Lite).
She is survived by her three sons; James A. and his wife Kathryn L., Joseph E. and his partner Lindsay R., and G. Sherman H. as well as four grandchildren; Eva, Willow, Lia and Jillian.
Dorothy was preceded in death by her parents, her younger brother Jim and her husband, Edward S. Morrison, whom she married on June 12, 1960.
A lifelong devout Christian and churchgoer, she grew up attending New Enterprise Church of the Brethren, followed by Grace Baptist Church in Warren, OH and then First Baptist Church in Clearfield, PA where she was a member from 1978 to 2020. After moving to Keene, NH, she attended the United Church of Christ in Keene with her youngest son, Sherman. An avid bird watcher, homemaker and church choir singer (alto), Dorothy also played piano throughout her life, often at church.
Funeral Services will be held at the First Baptist Church in Clearfield on Saturday, February 3, 2024 at 2:00 PM with Pastor Matt Brown and Pastor Robert Achey co-officiating. Interment will be in Holsinger Cemetery, New Enterprise, PA.
