Born January 15, 1936, in Wallaceton, she was the daughter of the late Weir & Dorothy (Hummel) McCullough.
She was a 1953 graduate of Philipsburg High School. She had worked for W.T. Grants, Penelec and Parkway Plaza in State College from where she retired.
Delores was a long-time member of the Lake Street United Methodist Church in Woodland where she served as the church’s treasurer, was a Sunday School teacher as well as serving on various committees. She was involved with several short-term mission trips as well as the local Allport-Bigler-Woodland Work Camps. She was a member of the BJW Fire Co. Women’s Auxiliary and volunteered in the gift shop and chaplaincy department at the Clearfield Hospital.
Delores enjoyed spending time with her grandchildren, attending their sporting and music events, reading, crossword puzzles, camping and a good campfire.
She is survived by her children; Denny and his wife Val Fye of Bigler, Connie and her husband Jim Spencer of Clearfield and Sid and his wife Pam Fye of Woodland; seven grandchildren, Lori Fye (fiancé JD Skebo), Cody (Lacey) Fye, Jimmy (Sarah) Spencer, Brianna Spencer, Ryan Spencer, Ben Fye and Katie Fye; three great grandchildren, Grant, Grace & Beau; her sister, Mary Beth Libreatori and her friend Ken Dinant of West Decatur along with several nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents.
Friends will be received at the Bennett and Houser Funeral Home, Clearfield on Thursday, December 8 from 2 – 4 and 6 – 8 and at the Lake Street United Methodist Church, Woodland, on Friday, December 9 from 10 a.m. until the time of service.
Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. with Pastor Chris Priester and Pastor Gregg Kohlhepp officiating. Interment will be in the Bradford Cemetery, Woodland, PA.
At Delores’s request, in lieu of flowers, she asks that contributions be made to Lake Street United Methodist Church, 115 Lake Street, Woodland, PA 16881.
