Daniel Lee Ott, 67 of Grampian passed away Sunday, November 10, 2013 at the DuBois Regional Medical Center. He was the husband of 44 years to Nancy (Cable) Ott of Grampian whom he married February 1, 1969.
Born May 13, 1946 in Clearfield, he was the son of the late Leland and Marie (Hugar) Ott.
Mr. Ott was employed as an Assistant Foreman for 30 years at Burke Parsons Bowlby in DuBois. Daniel was a US Army
Veteran of the Vietnam War. He enjoyed hunting with his family and friends.
Surviving in addition to his wife are 2 daughters and a son: Marie Young and her husband Rob, Holidaysburg; Marcie Dixon and her husband Greg, DuBois; Michael Ott and his wife Ericia, Grampian; 3 grandchildren: Jessie Dixon, Ryan Dixon and Chloe Ott; 2 sisters: Ruth Bloom, Clearfield and Myra Peters and her husband Rod, Mineral Springs; also 2 brother-in-laws: Jim Cable and Larry Mohney; sister-law: Mary Butler.
He was preceded in death by his parents, 2 brothers: Les Ott and Alvin “Jake” Ott; 3 sisters: Joyce Mohney, Mona Wilsoncroft and Virginia Ott.
A memorial service to celebrate the life of Daniel Lee Ott will be at 7:00 PM Thursday evening at the Bennett and Houser Funeral Home, Inc., 312 E. Locust Street, Clearfield, PA 16830 with Rev. Charles Lee, Jr., officiating. A time to share memories with the family will be from 5:00 – 7:00 PA Thursday evening at the funeral home. Military Honors will be conducted by the DuBois Area Honor Guard following the service at the funeral home.
