She was born on April 7, 1945, in Clearfield, the daughter of late Anthony and Dorothy Marie (Snyder) Carfley.
Carol was a homemaker, loved her family, and enjoyed collecting Mickey Mouse items.
She is survived by her husband, Clyde G. Smith whom she married on December 16, 1961 in Clearfield, three children; Daniel Clyde Smith and his wife, Ginger of Clearfield, David Allen Smith and his wife, Brenda of Mahaffey and Sandra Dee Smith and her husband, Boyd, of Trenton, FL, ten grandchildren: Candra Cole, Jessica, Kaylee, Ryan, Alyssa, Caitlyn, Caleb, Derrick, and Austin Smith, and Johnathon Padgett; seven great grandchildren: MacKenzie,
Gabrielle, and R.J. Cole, Caydence and Samara Smith, Jaiden Beam, and Bentley Smith; four brothers and five sisters; Joyce Rivet and her husband, Leo, Shirley Maines and her husband, Pete, Jean Saltsman, Pat Carfley and his wife, Diane, Dorothy McCarthy and her husband, Robert, Albert Carfley, Thomas Carfley and his wife, Barbara, Yvonne Brown and her husband, Kenny and Jerry Carfley and several nieces and nephews.
Carol was preceded in death by her parents, a sister, Thelma Mae Carfley, a brother, Kenneth Anthony Carfley, twin sister, Carrie Marie Wilt and an infant brother, Larry Lee Carfley.
Funeral Services will be held at Bennett and Houser Funeral Home, Inc., Clearfield on Sunday, June 28, 2015, at 11:00 A.M. with Pastor Bob Mundorff officiating. Interment will be in the Goshen Cemetery.
Friends will be received at the funeral home on Saturday, June 27, 2015 from 3-5PM and 6-8 PM and on Sunday, June 28, 2015 from 10AM until the hour of the services.
