Mrs. Powell was born August 18, 1940 in Clearfield, the daughter of Jesse and Marie (Parks) Henchbarger.
She was a Homemaker and had also provided childcare.
Mrs. Powell was a member of the Centre Grove United Methodist Church where she had in the past been a Sunday School teacher and served on the board of trustees.
She was a life member of the Hyde Fire Company, the Hyde Fire Company Auxiliary, Clearfield County Volunteer Fireman’s Association, Central District Volunteer Fireman’s Association and Central District Auxiliary.
Bonnie is survived by her mother, Marie Henchbarger of Clearfield, two sons; Randy Powell and Steven A. Powell and his wife Dianne, all of Clearfield, six grandchildren including Randall A. Powell and Seana Powell, seven great grandchildren, a brother, Burton Henchbarger of Clearfield and numerous nieces and nephews.
Mrs. Powell was preceded in death by her father, her husband, Charles E. “Ed” Powell whom she married March 11, 1960 and who passed away January 5, 2021, her daughter, Charlene Wisor and son-in-law, Tom Wisor.
A Celebration of Life Service will be held at 11:00 AM on Friday, September 10, 2021 at the Bennett and Houser Funeral Home, Inc. of Clearfield with Pastor Robert Achey officiating.
In lieu of flowers the family suggests that memorial contributions be made to the charity of the donor’s choice.
