Ashlee Nicole Kavelak

Ms. Kavelak was born April 18, 1983 in Clearfield, the daughter of Leslie M. Kavelak and Terry Catalano.

She was a graduate of Curwensville Area High School, Class of 2004.

Ms. Kavelak was Methodist by faith.

She had worked for CJ Packaging.

Ashlee participated in the Special Olympics of Clearfield County and the Clearfield Starz Special Needs Cheerleading. She also enjoyed all sports, especially the Penn State Nittany Lions, Steelers and Pirates.

Ashlee is survived by her parents, Leslie M. Kavelak and his wife Nancy of Boalsburg and Terry Catalano and her husband Michael of Clearfield, a sister, Michelle Beard (Carl) of Duncansville, two step sisters; Nichole Unch (Sam) of Curwensville and Susan Kalgren (Matthew) of White Fish, Montana and a step brother, Joe Catalano of Bethel Park. She is also survived by two uncles; Fred Kavelak (Sue) of Clearfield and Ken Kavelak (Marie) of Curwensville, four aunts; Regina Perrin of Lake Wales, Florida, Sharon Hawkins (Bill) of Madera, Kathy Wilson (Herb) of Clearfield and Bonnie Young (Randy) of Clearfield and numerous nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her maternal grandparents, Orvis B. and Dorothy J. Fletcher, paternal grandparents, Joseph and Mary Kavelak and an uncle, Anthony “Louie” Kavelak.

Private Services will be held at the convenience of the family with Kathie Ann Pearcy officiating.

The family suggests that memorial contributions be made to Special Olympics of Clearfield County, P.O. Box 335, Hyde, PA 16843 or Clearfield County Cancer Support Inc., 610 Susquehanna Avenue, Curwensville, PA 16833.
