Alice E. Shugarts

Born June 15, 1937 in Boston, MA, she was the daughter of Ward and Enola (Carns) Owens.

She was a graduate of Clearfield High School.

Alice retired as a Loan Officer from Curwensville State Bank.

She loved her grandchildren and great grandchildren, playing bridge and gardening with flowers and plants.

Alice is survived by her two sons: Darrin Shurgarts and his wife Tammy and Randy Shugarts and his wife Carolyn, all of Clearfield; seven grandchildren: Joe Highland Shugarts, Gavin Kay Shugarts, Rayan Scott Shugarts, Joseph Paul Shugarts, Shelby Lynn Shugarts, Allison Kay Shugarts and Remington James Shugarts; nine great grandchildren; two brothers: Lewis Owens of Clearfield and Cameron “Skip” Owens of Clarksville, TN and numerous nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death her parents, her husband, Kay R. Shugarts who passed away September 9, 2020; a son, Scott H. Shugarts; a granddaughter, Leanna Marie Shugarts, a grandson, Cameron Kay Shugarts and some siblings.

Honoring the wishes of Mrs. Shugarts there will be no public visitation or services.
