Yates Andrew Sasser, age 81, of Clayton passed away on Saturday, December 2, 2023. Yates was born in Johnston County on June 25, 1942 to the late Fay A. and Vonnie Ruth Godwin Sasser.
He is survived by his daughter, Deborah Drake and her husband, John of Middlesex; granddaughter, Crystal Hibbard and her husband, Josh; grandson, Kyle Sasser; great grandchild, Emma Rose Hibbard; brothers, Charles Sasser, Sherwood Sasser, Edward Sasser and Terry Sasser.
In addition to his parents, Yates is also preceded in death by his wife, Eldora Ann Sasser; a son, Allen Sasser; brother, Leon Sasser and sister, Joyce Ann Sasser.
A Celebration of Life will be held Saturday, January 6, 2024 at McLaurin Funeral Home in Clayton from 2:00 until 4:00pm.
