William Riley Jones

unexpectedly on Thursday, September 19, 2024.

Funeral services will be held 11:00 am Tuesday, September 24, 2024 at

Vandora Springs Freewill Baptist Church, Garner, of which he was a member,

with Pastor Jerry Stephenson officiating. Burial will follow at Montlawn

Memorial Park in Raleigh, North Carolina.

The family will receive friends from 10:00 am until 11:00 am Tuesday,

September 24, 2024 at the church, prior to the service.

Mr. Jones was born October 7, 1938 in Wake County to the late Paul William

Jones and the late Helen Stephenson Jones. In addition to his parents, he

was preceded in death by his wife of 53 years, Dorothy Ray Jones, in 2013,

and two brothers Grady Jones and Jimmy Jones

He was retired from Overhead Door of Raleigh and enjoyed spending time

with his family.

He is survived by his daughter and son-in-law, Crystal Jones Seagroves and

Zindall Seagroves; grandchildren, Brittainy Seagroves Rose, (husband) Drew

Rose, Zachary Seagroves, (wife) Chelsea Seagroves; great grandchildren,

Vance Seagroves; sister; Dorothy Jones Dupree, brothers; Danny Jones, and

Johnny Jones (wife) Maggie Jones.
