A native of Richmond, VA, Wayne was born February 3, 1958 to Paul Lassiter and the late Helen Dickerson Lassiter. He was raised in Richmond and graduated from Hermitage High School. He was a devoted employee of Fleetpride. Wayne has been a member of Clayton Civitan since 2001, where he loved coaching baseball and soccer. He also loved working with the Civitan Club during their barbeques and golf tournaments. He was named Civitan of the year twice during his tenure. He also loved flipping houses, watching crime shows, and Miller Lite. Above all else, he was a devoted husband, father and grandfather, and will be deeply missed by his family and friends.
Memorial Service will be held at noon on Saturday, April 21, 2018, at the Clayton Civitan Club, 340 McCullers St. Clayton, NC 27520.
Wayne is survived by his wife, Kathy; son, David; daughter Mary; grandson, Brayden; father, Paul; brother, Roger; as well as several extended family members and friends.
