Mrs. Verna T. Greene

She was born in Clayton, NC on October 20, 1941 to the late Coy Tart and Flonie Mae Tart. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Claude Henry Greene, Jr. and a brother, Nelson Tart.

She is survived by daughters, Veronica Johnson and husband, Robin of Sanford; Sophia Shaw and husband, Quintin of Sanford; and son, Jeremy Greene and wife, Rachel, of Zebulon; along with her legacy of six wonderful grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren.

She is also survived by her siblings, Elgie Rhodes and husband, Garland of Clayton; Linda Smith and husband, Larry of Clayton; Wade Tart and wife, Joyce of Clayton; and Luther Tart and wife, Joanne, of Raleigh; Jimmy and Betty Greene of Clayton.

Funeral services will be held with McLaurin Funeral Home in Clayton, with a private graveside service on Friday, November 6, 2020, at 2pm.
