Troy Allen Thompson, 33, passed away on Saturday, August 31, 2019 in Raleigh. Troy worked as a Truck Driver for many different companies and enjoyed fishing and hunting. He was a member of the Hector’s Creek Whitetail Hunting Club.
Surviving are his son, Melvin Kyle Thompson; mother, Joy Thompson Mobley and her husband Gregory of Wallace; sisters, Crystal Denise Derry of Wallace, Candice Elizabeth Usher of Bradenton, FL, and Amber Marguerite Mobley of Wallace; grandparents, Jimmy Lee and Denise Jewett Grady of Raleigh, Jasper Allen and Miranda Sanderson Thompson of Rose Hill; aunt, Ashley Grady Daoust of Franklinton; uncles, Christopher Allen Thompson of Wallace and Brian Scott Thompson of Rose Hill.
A memorial service celebrating Troy’s life will be held on Sunday, September 8, 2019 at 6:00pm in the chapel of McLaurin Funeral Home with the family receiving friends following the service at 7:00pm.
