Born February 8th, 1964 in upstate New York to the late Sally Green and William Roger Lane, passed away at the age of 56 after a sudden illness.
She spent her early life caring for others, working in Nursing and then spent the past 19 years working at A.C. Moore; where she opened the Raleigh location and worked there until it closed its doors. She was a single mom to both her children, and always did whatever it took to make sure they never went without. If you asked anyone, they would tell you her children were her world, but her Grandchildren were the light of her life. When she was not working, she enjoyed sleepovers with her grandchildren, watching the deer in her backyard and crocheting. She loved crocheting baby blankets anytime she heard someone was having a baby.
She will always be remembered as: a fantastic mother to her two children, a pseudo-mom to many marching band kids and the friends of her kids, a friend to whoever needed an ear to listen, a loving daughter to her late parents, a caring sister to her siblings, and the most amazing grandmother “GaGa” to her grandchildren.
She is survived by her son Garrett (Anastasia); daughter Brittany(Alex); sister Grace(Kevin); brother Bill; grandchildren: Laurel, Rosalie, Camden, and Thatcher; three nieces and two nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents William Roger Lane, and Sally Ann Green
A Celebration of life will be held at a later date.
In lieu of flowers, a GoFundMe account has been established, or can contact the family directly.
The family wishes to extend a very big thank you to the Nurses and staff on the MICU at WakeMed Raleigh for the phenomenal care and compassion for both Tina, and the rest of the family during her 50 days she was there.
