Sue Steadman Burns

Sue Steadman Burns, age 78, left this world peacefully on Monday, March 31, 2025 to be with her Lord and Savior! Born in Washington DC, on December 31, 1946, she was a daughter to the late Wilber Steadman and Katherine Schmeltz Steadman.

She is survived by her husband of 47 years, Mark Burns; sisters, Cindee Haddock and husband Doug, of Holden Beach, NC, Sherry Steadman also of Holden Beach; children, Anthony Queen and wife Margaret of Baker, FL, Kelly Crawford and husband Kenneth of Kill Devil Hills, NC, Nicole Queen Germantown, MD and Jennifer Spencer of Manteo, NC; Grandchildren, Jessica Irani, Kenny (KJ) Crawford, Carl Crane,

Kiara Spencer and Antonio Spencer, Jr. (AJ) ; Great grandchildren; Aleiya Crane and Allie Burns her sweet little dog.

Sue loved the Lord and served Him and others with her whole heart.

Per Sue’s wishes, there will be no formal services. Family and friends will gather sometime this summer for loving fellowship, sharing memories, a small service and the spreading of her ashes in Nags Head.

In addition to her parents, Sue is preceded in death by Anthony Queen, the father of her 3 oldest children. As well as, Antonio Spencer Sr., husband of her youngest daughter, Jennifer and 3 of her grandchildren
