A visitation for Sandra will be held Saturday, February 25, 2023 from 9:30 AM to 11:00 AM at McLaurin Funeral Home, 12830 Us 70 Business Hwy W, Clayton, North Carolina 27520. Following the visitation will be a graveside service at 11:00 AM at Pinecrest Memorial Park, 12830 US 70 Bus Hwy W, Clayton, NC 27520.

Ms. Sandy Carol Avery Bennett will be surely missed by family and friends. Oh how she loved Wesley and those two little grandkids - Frankie and Joey. She would always say you're going to have to watch out for those two, but especially that Joey. We are just so sad she won't be here to help us out, but she is in a better place with no more physical pain and with her mom, Elnora Avery; dad, Clifton Forest Avery, her brother Cliff; and most of all her sister Barbara Ann. They all are up there now fishing and talking about all the good times. We know Wesley and the grandbabies have 5 angels, taken too soon, watching over them.

Sandy Avery Bennett was born October 3, 1957 in Kinston, NC. Spent a good part of her childhood in Kinston and Burlington, then moved to Garner in 1969 at the age of 11. Went to college and soon after that got married at the age of 30. Then had the joy of her life, Wesley Bennett. Then in 1999 she got a job in Walmart. There she worked in wardrobe, aquarium area, and a door greeter. A big part of her life was visiting her Mom and Dad every other weekend, up to her Mom's death in 2015 of Alzheimer's then her Father's sudden death 2020. So now they're all up there fishing and cooking with one another.

She had a tight circle of friends. She was a hard person to befriend, but once a friend, she was loyal to the end. She was humble and always did everything her way right to the end.
