Ruth Talton Watson

She was born in Wake County on January 26, 1948 to the late John Thomas Talton and the late Wynonna Barber Talton.

Ruth, Mom and Grammie loved her family and friends. She was kind, patient, and funny as can be. She loved vibrant colors, fresh cut tulips, mountain dew, and the Tar Heels. She was always on the lookout for something to give to her children and grandchildren.

Ruth enjoyed her Meredith College Lunch Bunch and the trips they took together. Those Meredith Angles always took good care of Ruth during their travels.

She is survived by her husband of 54 years, William H. “Bill” Watson, Jr.; children, son Brian and his spouse Erin of Denver, CO and grandchildren, Scarlett, Davis and daughter Kelly and her spouse Mike of Hilton Head Island, SC and grandchildren, Joey and Jack.

A private graveside inurnment will be held at Maplewood Cemetery in Clayton, North Carolina at a later date.
