A memorial service to celebrate her life will be held 2:30 PM Saturday, July 2, 2022 at Bethesda Baptist Church in Clayton, North Carolina, of which she was a member. The inurnment will follow at Knollwood Memorial Park in Clayton.
The family will receive friends from 1:00 PM until 2:00 PM Saturday, July 2, 2022 at the church, prior to the service.
She was born February 17, 1930 in Durham County to the late Darcas Adams and the late Thora King Adams. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband of sixty-one years, Wright Sauls, Jr., and a son Barry Dean Sauls.
Mrs. Sauls excelled at relationships with her family, her six children, and friends. She was always first and foremost a wife and a mother. She enjoyed the simple pleasures: reading, traveling, eating a good meal, attending gospel music concerts and interacting with friends at church or in the local community. Mrs. Sauls left rays of sunshine through her smile and gentle ways wherever she went.
She is survived by five of her children; two daughters, Cynthia Creech (Ressie) and Betty Sauls (Al); three sons Darrell Sauls (Sandra), George Sauls (Amy), Dale Sauls (JoAnn); nine grandchildren and eight great grandchildren.
