Rudolph Clarence "Bobby" Tart

Rudolph Clarence “Bobby” Tart, passed away on Wednesday, December 21, 2022 at the age of 93. Mr. Tart was born in Johnston County on December 7, 1929 to the late William J. and Bessie Rogers Tart and was retired from Westinghouse.

A memorial service celebrating Bobby’s life will be held on Wednesday, December 28, 2022 at 11:00am at Hocutt Baptist Church in Clayton. The family will receive friends on Wednesday one hour prior to the service from 10 until 11:00am at the church. A private inurnment will follow at Maplewood Cemetery.

He is survived by his daughter, Debbie Long and her husband, Bob of Clayton; a son, David Tart and his wife, Joanne of Eldersburg, MD; grandchildren, Joshua Holliday and his wife, Ashley of Murray, KY, Tyler Denning of Cary, David Tart, II and his wife, Emily of Nottingham, MD and Sara Vasquez and her husband, David of Clermont, FL; great grandchildren, Lyla Holliday, Corinne Holliday, Aria Tart and Cameron Tart.

In addition to his parents, he is also preceded in death by his wife, Selmadean Tart; a great grandson, David A. Vasquez; sisters, Viola Wilkins, Odessa Garner and Lorene Conway; one brother, Durwood Tart.
