Ruby Mitchell, 88, of Clayton, NC passed away peacefully at her home surrounded by her loving family on November 6, 2017. Ruby was born in Blevins, Arkansas to Barney Morgan and Bessie Mitchell Morgan on February 8, 1929. She worked at Norwich Mills in Clayton for 27 years. Ruby is preceded in death by her parents, husband Herbert Mitchell, and brothers, Jimmy and Barney Morgan. Ruby was a loving mother to her daughters Beth Graf, Pam Edwards, husband Andy, and Carolyn Rosser. She was grandmother of two grandsons, Sprague Testa and Trace Coats, wife Abbey; one granddaughter, Joy Testa; four great grandchildren, Brittany, Cameron, Makayla and Callan and three great-great grandchildren, Alysia, Jayden and Jeremiah. Ruby is also survived by her brother Mike Davidson and nieces and nephews. The family will receive friends on November 9, 2017 at 2pm prior to the service at McLaurin Funeral Home in Clayton, NC. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Little Creek Seventh Day Adventist Church in Clayton, NC.
